Also one way to make the beginner volleyball player feel more confident about serving is; when practicing the player starts closer to the net.  Then gradually you move back toward the back line.  It helps the player to maintain a better technique.  If you are starting right away behind the serving line, the player often tries to hit the ball hard and loses the technique. The effortless technique is much more important than power.</description>
